The cleaning and grading of cereals, pulses and spices that are intended for edible food for human consumption, includes the fundamental cleaning processes but additional food safety and quality aspects apply to the design and documentation of the machines and the cleaning line.

ABT Global Machine has the experience to design and execute the food processing lines ensuring that the grains have the highest purity adequate for human consumption, according to its intended use, and that the grains are free of any substances that may compromise food safety.

Thus, the food processing lines often includes additional machines like destoner, de-huller, color sorter, metal detectors and other specific machines depending on the crops. Likewise, the materials in contact with the crop must be food approved.

The standards for food safety are regulated by both local and international standards. The Danish standards are among the highest possible standards in the EU.
